How and or where did you meet?
We met on Tinder and talked for about an hour before he came and picked me up to go on a date.
How did you get proposed to?
He took me to one of my favorite hiking trails, found the most beautiful spot on the trail and stopped to kiss me. I turned around after the kiss to continue hiking and he said wait. When I turned around again, he was down on one knee.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
His vows. Like the procrastinator I am, I waited until the night before to write my vows. He wrote his months in advance, and it showed. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about this line, “I love you more than plants love sunlight, bats love caves and the news love a Florida man.”
What vendors did you use at your wedding?
Thistle and Pine Photography – @thistleandpinephoto Mandie did a phenomenal job! We eloped and she not only took amazing photos but drove us up the mountain and helped pick the most beautiful spot to say our vows. She made everything so easy.
What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?
I moved to Springfield in 2013 to go to college. My first time walking downtown I saw Norman’s and knew that’s where I wanted to buy my dress someday. The employee I worked with was great. I picked out a few dresses online before coming in and she picked all the right dresses from that. The very first dress she showed me was the one. I tried on probably 5 or 6 more after that were all equally gorgeous but I knew that first dress was it.
