Annika & Trenton // Intimate Wedding

Annika and Trenton’s beachside proposal ~ 5-2-21

How and or where did you meet?
We met online playing World of Warcraft during their Legion expansion in late 2016 (we are super nerds). We were friends for a few months then decided to go long distance for a year before I moved to Missouri in September 2018.

How did you get proposed to?
During family vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina June 2020. The weather conditions surrounding the proposal were not in our favor (midday, super hot, humid, sand was burning our toes, I was a sweaty mess and was wearing a baseball hat), but it was a really sweet moment! We went for a walk toward an alcove along the beach and, as we started to walk back, he took my hand, told me he had something to ask me, then got down on a knee and asked me to marry him. No crowd, no phone to capture the moment, just us. ๐Ÿ™‚

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Our first look when we did our personal private vow reading! I was so nervous for our first look, but it was so sweet and was a time for us to really pause and take in the moment and the day. We were so at ease after our vows that when we got to our ceremony site, we made silly faces at each other the whole time. Stage fright who?

What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?
It was wonderful! I went to five bridal stores in Missouri and Arkansas, and Norman’s Bridal was my favorite. I loved not having a limit to what I could try on and how attentive the staff were to my needs.
