ASHLEY + KEN // WEDDING

Ashley and Kenneth’s North Carolina Wedding~7-30-23

How and or where did you meet?
We met while Ken was stationed in Texas at Fort Hood.
Ken and I met through a dating app. He cooked for me on our first date and I knew he was a keeper.

How did you get proposed to?
Ken proposed in Minneapolis, Minnesota on a cold and rainy night on a walkway between Minneapolis and St. Paul. I hate the cold and was telling Ken we needed to go. So he got nervous because this is where he had envisioned he was going to propose and I was just not having it. He pulled the ring out and asked me to marry him and forgot to get down on one knee. I told him Id give my answer once he got down on one knee. Of course I said yes but had to make him work for it…..

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory is the scenery and having an intimate ceremony with my husband Ken, but still having the things we loved like pie and a blue grass band!

What vendors did you use at your wedding?
Nantahala Wedding Venue in Topton, NC. My photos were taken by Bailey Batten Photography in NC. I can not say enough about how amazing she was on our wedding day.

What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?
I had Kyla Elliott as my consultant and she got my dress with only trying on 5 dresses. I love how she knew based on my description of what I wanted, and her knowledge of the dresses at Normans to just know what would look amazing.
