Molly and Chris’s Catholic High Love 1-7-17

I married my Springfield Catholic High School sweetheart, Chris, on January 7, 2017. In college we dated long-distance, but we have lived in the Springfield and Kansas City area the majority of our relationship. Chris and I got engaged on our seven year dating anniversary in our current hometown, Lawrence, KS. I knew when I got engaged that I wanted to get my wedding dress at Normans. My mom and I purchased my prom dress (the one I wore with Chris as my date back in high school!) from Normans in Lebanon and we adored the service we received. The customer service was outstanding there, so of course we had to visit the Springfield store when it was time to search for THE dress. My outgoing personality took to its shell when wedding dress shopping; I was surprisingly nervous and reserved because of the pressure I was putting on myself to find the perfect dress. When I told our consultant, Brenda, how nervous I was, she turned the attention away from my nerves and started to focus on what I wanted in a dress. I was interested in a long-sleeved gown, and she immediately started pulling all potential gowns. I tried on four gowns and bought the second one I tried on! The dress was almost perfect, but I wanted to make it complete with some additions. Normans Bridal recommended an amazing local seamstress to sew on a beaded belt and add lace overlays to the dress’s bare neck line.
