Sara & Austin’s Romantic Wedding 9-30-23

How and or where did you meet?
Austin and I met the new normal way, on a dating app. For our first date, it was a summer night in Springfield. His mom had two tickets to see Alan Jackson that she couldn’t use, so he asked me to go. Sparks flew instantly and we had the most fun at the concert. We didn’t want to end the date yet, so we went downtown for drinks. On the way there, as silly as it sounds, we each deleted our dating apps right there because we already knew we didn’t want to date anyone else. It was a busy night with lots of people walking around. We were standing right in front of Norman’s Bridal talking, laughing, and kissing, when a girl said, “You guys are the cutest! Are you getting married?” To which we both unknowingly said, “Yes!” at the same time.

How did you get proposed to?
Austin proposed in front of the wild flowers at Finley Farms in Ozark in front of both of our families. He had let it slip that he purchased the ring I wanted, so I knew it was coming, and I still cried! His sister had fake nails for me to put on right after so we could take pictures.

Where did you get married?
We got married at Cassell Vinyards in Mansfield, MO. It was the only venue we looked at and we were sold immediately. The string lights and romantic Italian atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite wedding memory would be our first look. We read letters to each other with tears in our eyes. It was such an intimate moment. When Austin turned around he said my dress was perfect!

What vendors did you use at your wedding?
Venue: Cassell Vinyards @cassellvinyards

Photographer: Bruner Lane Photography @brunerlanephotography
Food: Happy Chef

Describe your dress!
My dress was a beautiful almond colored A line dress with lots of leaflike appliqué throughout and on the matching veil. It had a sheer bodess and a small train. I altered the straps to have matching off the shoulder sleeves. It was gorgeous!

What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?
I was a walk-in at Norman’s and had the best experience! I had the most helpful woman on the floor helping me in and out of dresses making me feel like a princess. I couldn’t believe my dress came off the sale rack it was just that beautiful!
