Adam and I met my first semester and his second semester at College of the Ozarks. We had many mutual friends and always gave each other a lot of sass. However, we never pursued a relationship until our last year of school. We started talking at the Christmas tree lighting at C of O. We went back to my dorm and he fixed me a latte with his espresso machine. From that point on we saw each other every day! I had so much peace and joy being with him! After a few weeks, we decided I would meet his parents; I was the first girl he ever brought home to meet his parents. After that night, he asked if I would be his girlfriend and I said yes! I was also his first girlfriend!
When Adam proposed, he had a ring box that he had my dad make from a tree stump, it was beautiful. Adam also had a box filled with letters that he had written to me and thoughts that he had on the back of receipts, tickets, and pictures from dates we had went on. He started writing even before we became girlfriend and boyfriend. It was so thoughtful and I was beyond blessed and privileged to be marring him.
The dress: I really had no idea what dress I wanted! Before I went to Normans I had stopped at two other Bridal shops in Springfield. From the moment, I got to Normans they were ready to help me and give me a great dress shopping experience. I was willing to try on ANYTHING! My consultant grabbed a dress that did not look anything like your traditional wedding dress; I have never even seen a wedding dress like it. I tried it on and walked out to show my family and I felt so confident and beautiful, my family agreed that that was the dress! I am so thankful for the experience and care Normans showed me when I was searching for the perfect wedding dress!
Our wedding was two days after we both graduated college! Our wedding was also during a windy, icy storm! However, that did not keep our friends and family for coming. We had so many people show up and support us it, it was so humbling. Our wedding was perfect because I got to marry Adam and our prayers for finding a person that God wants us to be with had been answered.
