How and or where did you meet?
Derek and I knew of each other through work. We had mutual friends as well through work. I had posted on Facebook to one of our mutual friends asking if her and her husband had watched Bird Box and that I wanted to watch it and was curious if it was good. Derek slid into my DM’s and offered to watch it with me.
How did you get proposed to?
We spent the day hiking at Sam’s Throne in Arkansas. Afterwards, we went to Vantage Rooftop Bar in Springfield. His had his niece (who is a photographer) there to get pictures. She brought a couple of her friends as her cover up and pretended to be doing their pictures. I wanted to be surprised and I was totally 100% surprised! We celebrated at Vantage afterwards with a bottle of wine and enjoying a beautiful sunset as an engaged couple.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
We eloped at Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas. It was beautiful. It was simple. My favorite memory was definitely the view and being with just our immediate family.
