How and or where did you meet?
Nicholas and I met through mutual friends who set us up on a blind date. We went to dinner and a movie in March 2020, went on two more dates the following week then COVID hit. It was honestly the best experience because since the world shut down we couldn't go out to do anything so we really got to know each other without any distractions.
How did you get proposed to?
Our friend is a photographer and she wanted to try out some new skills so we had a photo session on October 1, 2022. We were taking pictures with a John Deere tractor, cows and a sunset in the background. She had us turn our backs to each other without touching, told me to turn around and he was on one knee when I did so. It was the perfect surprise and now we have photos that captured the moment as well as a video that her husband took.
Where did you get married?
We got married at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Cole Camp, MO. The church is over 100 years old so there is stained glass windows and old architecture throughout. This was the perfect place to get married because we have been going there since we started dating and it meant a lot to both of us.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
It's really hard to pick just one favorite memory from the big day, but one of the best parts was taking sunset pictures. It was very intimate and it was a chance to be with just each other before getting back to our family and friends.
What vendors did you use at your wedding?
Five Sparrows Photography for photos @fivesparrowsphotography Puff Productions for DJ Vintage Flower Market for flowers @vintageflowermarket118 Galleria Fine Jewelry for jewelry @galleriafinejewelry Esthetics by Macy for makeup @estheticsby.macy Zora Studio for hair @zorastudiorepublic Hicks from the Sticks for reception food Normans Bridal for wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and accessories
Describe your dress!
My dress is lace and sparkle from head to toe literally. It has straps with a low back where there are mesh cut outs. The train is a medium length with buttons that go all the way to the end. If I turned the slightest in the dress you could see the sequins sparkle so much. It was the perfect dress for me since my idea was country elegant.
What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?
My experience was very relaxed and quick. I knew what I was looking for so I only tried on a handful of dresses. My family knows the owners since they used to have the business in Lebanon, MO where I'm from and it was so great having them come over during my appointment to see what I looked like.
