A Storybook Wedding at the Gold Tree Alexis Maye Crocker & Alan Benowitz #benowitzeverafter June 23, 2017 Submitted by her God Grandmother It all began with a high school romance several years ago and a magical proposal at the beach in August 2016. The planning began for Alexis Crocker and Alan Benowitz for their elegant storybook meadow wedding on the family farm at the Gold Tree. The legend is Jesse James buried stolen gold under the tree on his way back from the “Gold Rush!” What a better place than this to hold a storybook wedding. There was no question about where to purchase the gown of her dreams. On Saturday, September 3, 2016 we made a 2-hour trip to Norman’s bridal with her bridal party, mothers and grandmothers to share in the joy of choosing the most important dress you will choose in a lifetime…the “dream wedding dress.” Norman’s staff and our consultant Patty were AMAZING! As a family, we celebrate EVERY event whole heartedly. Norman’s welcomed our rather large group with open arms and helped to make it a VERY special moment in all of our lives. The hardest part was the choice as Alexis looked beautiful in every dress she tried on but the bride-to-be ALWAYS knows when it is THE dress! From the carriage ride to the ceremony, her grandfather officiating the ceremony, to the social hour with vintage games and refreshments to the tent reception with touches of Disney magic, the day could not have been more perfect. It truly is a wedding “Happily Ever After!” Photo Credit: Four Corners Photo Art
