How and or where did you meet?

We met in high school. Clinton tried to get me to date him for years, but I kept saying no - didn’t want to ruin our friendship. We lost touch with one another several times since then, but always seemed to reconnect. For example, we ran into each other at college unaware we both went there and then reconnected again a couple years ago when I finally agreed to that date. We were together from there forward! For our wedding- we used the very fitting phrase, “It was always you,” because we somehow always found each other again.

How did you get proposed to?

It was an intimate moment between just the two of us. Clinton left the room, and when he came back he had changed into a shirt that said, “Will you marry me?,” and he had a tray with the ring in box, a, “Yes,” shirt, and a cake with stick figures proposing. It was a really cute proposal and I cherish the memory.

Where did you get married?

We got married at The Forest Event Center in Wappapello, MO. It is a beautiful venue with a chapel and reception space right in the same area. Their team does an incredible job with decorations and having everything perfectly set up for you.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?

It’s a tie. One would be our first touch moment before the ceremony. We met back to back and read our personal vows to one another and it was such a special moment. The second is the moments walking down the aisle as a married couple and immediately after exiting the chapel. The excitement and pure joy we felt was such an amazing feeling.

What vendors did you use at your wedding?

Jamyle Bell- NJ Memories Photography Norman’s Bridal (dress) The Dress Bridal (veil)

Describe your dress!

My dress was an A-Line gown with the most beautiful lace and fun glitter tulle underneath. It had the most elegant and romantic details from the mesh straps with beading and lace and gorgeous neckline and train.

What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?

My experience at Norman’s was incredible! They helped me have that magical moment of feeling so beautiful and tears imagining myself walking down the aisle to my husband in that dress. Fun little fact - we came to find out that the stylist I had was actually dating one of my family friend's son. Small world.
