Josh and I went to high school together and were just acquaintances. Fast forward 4 years, and I know this is a “millennial” statement, but we started off with a Facebook message. He caught my eye at the gym weeks before, and we kept it simple with a just a smile. I reached out after I noticed he was struggling with something personal and I offered an ear. We messaged a little bit. He eventually asked me to dinner.
We dated for a year before he proposed. I fell in love with him so fast, and I do not regret it at all. He bought my ring in September, but couldn’t figure out the best time to pop the question. He decided Christmas would the best!
He waited until we were about to eat and all the presents were open to mention that he forgot one. I figured he was up to something. He wrapped 5 boxes and each had a wrapped box in it. At the bottom was a jewelry box. But the item inside wasn’t what I was hoping. I pulled out a diamond necklace. The disappointment was on my face and everyone in the room could see it. It was a beautiful necklace, but I was SURE that he was going to propose. I was still grateful!
His mom asked if he would put it on me. I turned around and he got on one knee. I was so shocked, he has to ask again before I gave him a “YES”.
I married my best friend on November 3rd, 2018. Everything was perfect from the rose petals on the floor all the way to the look on my husbands face when I walked down the isle.
Thank you for helping me choose my gorgeous dress to make me feel like the most beautiful bride!
