When was your wedding?

How and or where did you meet?
Westley was an assistant manager at a local restaurant, I was looking for a job when I was in college and went in for an interview. After asking me 2 questions he told his boss "I'm hiring this girl so I can marry her one day." A few months later he left the company and the next day (leap day) we started dating. People always joke about love at first sight and "when you know, you know" and I never really believed in it but from the day we met we both knew that we would have something special.
How did you get proposed to?
Westley took me back to where we had our first date, Mt Nebo in AR. We both love hiking and that is "our place" as we have had many dates there over the years. There's a place called sunrise point where you can walk out on a cliff and see the river, lake, and all the greenery of rolling hills in the area. We always start our hikes there and take time to take in the view. That day it was foggy and the clouds were hanging low but it was so peaceful and beautiful. I heard something behind me that sounded like footsteps so I glanced but didn't see anything. Then I heard "Hey Brittany!" from a familiar voice of a sweet friend who was holding a sign that said "Will You Marry Me?" I turned back around and Westley was on one knee on the edge of a cliff, in the clouds. I was literally on cloud 9. :)
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Our first look was something I will never forget. Westley and I are both people who would do anything to make everyone else happy and our wedding was no exception. We decided to share our first look and our personal vows privately so we could remember those moments and what our wedding was truly about. Westley literally hit his knees when he saw me for the first time, it was so emotional and I wouldn't change it for the world. Once he composed himself we shared our vows and both lost it all over again, it was perfect.

What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?
I am so thankful for the experience I had at Norman's. My engagement was short (~6 months) and I had know idea where to start with dress shopping as I lived in central AR at the time. My mom called and said " I made you an appointment at Norman's next week." I was ecstatic as I had gotten my prom dress at Norman's (many years ago). I LOVED my experience both times. I went in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted. I tried 2 or 3 dresses in that style and OMG they were NOT flattering on my body type at all. I know Patty (my stylist) could tell I was getting discouraged and she offered a couple of suggestions. The first dress she picked ended up being "the one" and it fit so perfectly I got to take it home that day and not have to worry about shipping time or fit for my dress (win-win for sure). I never would have chosen this dress to try on, but Patty took what I originally had in mind mixed with my body type and fit and made it so, SO easy to say "YES to the dress" at Norman's. It was the best experience I ever could have hoped for!
