We met at JQH Arena at a Bible convention. He was an attendant in my section and we couldn’t stop staring at each other. I was the first to initiate conversation but after that we talked every single day. It turns out we had several mutual friends and we were both invited to the same parties years prior but neither of us were at the same party at the same time.
We talked every single day (not kidding) from the day we met (June 24th, 2016) up until we were married (June 10th, 2017) and I just knew that this man was the one I’d been waiting for.
He proposed to me one rainy night during a bonfire at his parent’s house. It was freezing and we were soaked to the bone but standing there underneath the tree he carved “Marry Me” in was more than I could’ve asked for.
Our wedding was small but perfect. I loved my dress I found at Norman’s and it, along with marrying my best friend, really made that whole day perfect. I’m forever grateful for how easy it was and how much fun I had planning our wedding! I always tell soon-to-be brides to relax and have fun with it. Nothing is going to be perfect but what really matters is that you get to spend your life with your best friend.
