How and or where did you meet?
Tyler and Kelli grew up in their hometown of Stockton, Missouri. Tyler was two years ahead of Kelli in school and they didn't really hang out with the same crowd.
Apon graduating in May of 2014, Kelli had moved to Springfield for school. Tyler happened to be going to OTC and offered to help her enroll the the following semester. As many say, it was love at first sight! They started dating in September of 2014.
They now own a home in Rountree Neighborhood, a lawncare business and have been together for 7 years.
How did you get proposed to?
Tyler and Kelli took a spare of the moment trip to California in late August of 2020. They flew from Springfield to Las Vegas. They arrived in Las Vegas and stayed the night there. They rented a car and drove to Joshua Tree National Park where they spent the day hiking. They stopped in Palm Springs for the night and drove to the coast for a couple days at the beach. Tyler had planned on proposing on their 6 year Anniversary at the Yosmite National Park, but due to COVID-19 restrictions had to alter those plans. They planned on driving up the coast on Highway One, but they just so happened to plan a Cali trip during Wildfire season. So, they also had to alter those plans. They ended up staying in Malibu, CA in a beautiful Air BnB on the coast. Tyler proposed at the Air BnB on August 31, 2020 after eating pizza and watching the sunset at El Matador State Beach.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
They decided to elope! Eloping is something Tyler and Kelli always wanted to do. They both decided that the huge wedding was not their "thing". They chose Colorado because in the State they allow self-solemnization ceremonies, and you do not have to have witnesses!
Kelli and Tyler eloped in Breckenridge, CO at Blue Lakes. They chose a sunrise ceremony in part that their photographer said that it would be the best for weather. In Colorado summer afternoons tend to have a pop up shower or two. Kelli said her favorite part was watching the sun rise with my soon-to-be Husband!
