How and or where did you meet?
My husband and I met our sophomore year of college at a local coffee shop, Potter's House. We both spent a lot of time there, doing homework, hanging out with friends, and volunteering. One day, he mustered up the courage to come talk to me. We sat and talked for about three hours and then he asked me to a movie. We've been together for almost four years now!
How did you get proposed to?
One cold day in December of 2020, we planned to have a date night at Potter's House after I got off work. Instead, when I arrived, he proposed to me on the front porch. We went inside to find that some of our close friends were there to celebrate with us.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory from our wedding day was walking in from the ceremony to celebratory cheers and clapping from all of our friends and family. We stood just for a few seconds before sitting down at the head table, but I gazed out over the crowd trying to memorize the moment, taking in everyone's faces. It was really special.
What vendors did you use at your wedding?
We used a close friend, Ashlyn Hendrickson, who is the owner of Barley Photo Co., as our photographer, Savoy Ballroom on Commercial Street as our venue, Simply Delicious for catering, Live Events Missouri for photo booth, another close friends who is a graphic designer did our wedding invitations, Vintage Rental Co. for our head table and chairs, Elevate Entertainment for our DJ, a family friend for décor and flowers, and Zola for our registry and wedding website.
What was your experience like at Normans Bridal?
My experience at Normans was fantastic! Patty Smulski worked with me to find the perfect dress that truly reflected my personality and taste. She answered all of my questions, helped me pick a veil and even pointed me to an amazing seamstress who did my fitting. I would recommend Normans to any future bride!
