My husband, Brandon, and I met in 2005 working in the ER at Mercy Hospital. We didn’t start dating until several years later in 2012. We had been dating for three and a half years when he proposed on Christmas Eve of 2015. I was absolutely shocked! We had been through a lot together since he was diagnosed with cancer just a year prior to that, so a proposal was not something I was expecting at all! He even included my then five-year-old daughter, Teagn, in the intimate proposal at our home. Obviously, I said yes! I immediately started wedding planning, and of course getting my dress ordered was at the top of my list. In February, my mom, Matron-of-Honor, and one of my bridesmaid’s went to a few dress shops in Springfield before going to Norman’s Bridal. From the second we walked in the doors at Norman’s, we knew our experience there was going to be wonderful. My consultant immediately introduced herself, showed my guests to some comfortable seats and began picking out dresses with me. She helped me get into each and every dress in a spacious, private dressing room and walked me out to show my guests. I believe it was the third dress that I tried on that was THE dress! I knew it was the one as soon as I stepped up onto the pedestal and my mom started shedding some tears. My favorite part about my dress is that the lace jacket is removable and gave the dress 2 completely different looks. We ended up visiting Norman’s Bridal several times over the months preparing for the wedding, as we ended up getting the bridesmaid’s dresses there also. Every experience was pleasant and comfortable. Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful! Not only was our wedding day finally here, but we also share our wedding date, September 10th, with Brandon’s father’s birthday, as well as his parents’ wedding anniversary. It was an amazing day weather-wise, which is always a gamble for September in Missouri. We were thrilled to share our special day with so many of our friends and family that had been there for us through all of the difficult times over the past year and a half. My dress was a perfect fit for our venue and it was stunning all through the day and evening! I got several compliments on it. I couldn’t have been happier with my choice to shop at and purchase my wedding dress from Norman’s Bridal!
